About Me

My photo
Joe the Architect
Texas
Joe the Architect is your average guy who calls it like it is: black or white (or some variation on a shade of gray in between). We live in the real world don’t we? (Sorry, Rush L.) I was born, raised and educated in West Texas and voted for Bush Sr. twice. I live in Texas. Except for the "educated" part, I should be a staunch conservative, right? My professional training was in Washington, DC., and I lived in the Mid-Atlantic region for seven years. I married a Yankee girl while on my east coast sabbatical. I voted for Clinton the second time; never for “W”. I live in Austin. That makes me a bleeding heart liberal, right? I’m too young to have voted for Reagan, so I guess I’m a Generation Xer. Thus I shouldn’t care about anything but myself and am just another faceless name. Well, I do care. (But I choose to write under a pseudonym.) Go ahead. Label me. I try to call them like I see them. I use as many direct quotes as possible. Why? Because with the obvious exception of this blog, the real thing is so much richer than all the color commentary (with apologies to CNN and FOX News). I hope you enjoy and that I incite you to action. Love, Joe
